Her thesis primarily examines neural network based computational methods for medical prognosis. Her research concentrates on the design, analysis, and implementation of provably good Machine learning methods. Her primary research interest is Machine learning algorithms in various application fields. She got an overall experience of 16+ years in the fields of academic teaching, research and administration. She has published several research papers in internationally reputed journals, Book chapter and conferences. She is the Principal Investigator of Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, Student funded project scheme. She is serving as Associate Editor, Editorial Board member and reviewer for various International journals and conferences. She is recognized as research supervisor in APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and currently supervising research scholars in machine learning domain. She is holding a set of research publications in various reputed high impact journals, patents and conferences. Her remarkable research work “Long-term forecasting the survival in liver transplantation using multilayer perceptron networks” was published in IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems which has an impact factor of 9.309. Her publications include IEEE, Elsevier, Springer and Scopus indexed journals.
